Nakamae, Director of Finance dated July 13, 1973, reporting receipt of 8509, 245 in revenue sharing funds for the period from April 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973 . This is the fourth check and the toal amount received to date is 82, 802,672. Receive and file. No. 52 .1: FINANCIAL AUDIT OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FISCAL YEAR 1971-1972 From Legislative Auditor R. B. Bess, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated July 3, 1973, recommending that the claim be denied . , 0- No . 256.1: CLAIM OF AL AND DORIS LIROU (6-256/FC-6) From Haruo Oda, Assistant Corporation Counsel, dated July 10, 1973, recommending that the claim be denied . Accept the recommendations of the Corporation Counsel and recommends that the claims ,S be denied . No . 379 : ENTERTAINMENT AND WELCOME FUNDS From Tony Taniguchi, President pro tem, Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, dated July 11, 1973, requesting that a sufficient amount be appropriated to welcome all ships scheduled to enter Hilo port for the rest of the year. Refer to the Mayor with the wish that the Administration work with the Downtown Improve- ment Association in kind to exercise some degree of aloha to all incoming ships. ?- No . 394: SALARY ORDINANCE OF 1973 From Mayor Shunichi Kimura dated July 17, 1973, sub- mitting in accordance with Section 3-14 of the County Charter, the Salary Ordinance for the various departments of the County of Hawaii. Approve and recommend passage of bill 1010 on 1st reading. NO. 405 : HALE MALAMA EXPANSION (Comm. 2076) From Legislative Auditor R. B. Legaspi dated August 2, 1973, enclosing a copy of a letter from Frank E. Keifer, Administrator of the Hawaii County Hospitals dated August 1, 1973, regarding the proposed expansion of Hale Malama at Honokaa Hospital. FC-9 ® -3- August 21, 1973 (cont 'd ) No . 405 .1: From Deputy Corporation Counsel Stephen G. Bess dated August 2, 1973, informing that he has not drafted the amendment of lease. Further states that since the State is unable to provide the necessary operational funds for the proposed expansion, he understands that Mr. Richard Smart is withdrawing his contribution of funds. Recommend the Council take the following action: (1) Reconsider Finance Committee Report 89 adopted August 9, 1972; (2) Rescind the action taken on Communication 2076 in view of Communications 405 and 405 .1; and (3 ) Receive and file Communications 405 and 405 .1. RECOMMENDATIONS , , & No . 1: TEMPORARY POSITION - DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL SERVICES Recommends the -creation of a temporaryas-needed Clerk-Stenographer position for the Department of Personnel Services to help With the collective bargaining workload .
