The following are the recommendations of the Finance Committee
which were considered at its meeting of November 26, 1973 :

No . 528.1: CLAIM - PAULETTE WRIGHT

November 9, 1973 , recommending that the claim be denied :
The Committee is in accord with the
opinion rendered by the Corporation
Counsel's Office and recommends that
the claim be denied.
,cc,C- No . 570: HONOLULU SYMPHONY
From Verna Post, Artist Selection Committee, Hawaii
Concert Society, dated November 9, 1973, urging the
Council to consider the proposal made to the Mayor
by the Honolulu Symphony which would enable the
orchestra to come to Hawaii Island during January of
1974 for a sum of $5, 000 :
The Committee accepts the proposal made
by the Honolulu Symphony and request the
Director of Finance to set up the funds.
The Committee further recommends that
the Department of Education and the Hawaii
Concert Society consider a program which
would benefit as many districts of the
island as possible .

e_ No. 577 : TRANSFER OF FUNDS - KONA AIRPORT PARK COMPLEX
From Robert T. Fukuda, Parks 86 Recreation Director,
dated November 12, 1973, requesting the transfer of
850,000 from Ordinance 409 (CIP) and 899,000 from
Ordinance 475 (Kona Recreation Center Development ) ,
to the Kona Airport Park account . The funds will
be used for the proposed renovation to the terminal
buildings and design and construction of tennis facil-
ities:
The Committee recommends approval of
the request for the transfer of funds.
Ito. 579 : NORTH KONA WATER PROJECT - HUALALAI ROAD
From Robert M. Yamada, Council Chairman, dated
November 16, 1973, transmitting for information a
letter from Mr. Akira Fujimoto, Manager of the Dept .
of Water Supply to Mayor Kimura regarding the North
Kona Water Project - Hualalai Road :
The Committee recommends receiving
and filing the communication.

RESOLUTION
/No . 153 : AMENDMENT TO SALARY ORDINANCE
Amends the. Salary Ordinance for the County Council and
Department of Water Supply (Fiscal Division) :
The Committee recommends adoption of
the resolution to amend the Salary
Ordinance.
