The following are the recommendations of the Finance Committee
which were considered at its meeting of May 2$, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
"No . 634: CLAIM - FLORENCE KAAINA
From Eric T. Maehara of Wooddell, Mukai, Ichiki & Whitfield,
Attorneys at Law, dated January 4, 1974, filing a claim
on behalf of Florence Kaaina for the amount of $10,097.30
for injuries suffered on July 9, 1973 when she stepped
into a hole in the pavement along the curb on Kilauea
Avenue:
634.1: From Katsuya Yamada, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated
May 16, 1974, recommending that the claim be denied :
The Committee is in accord with the
opinion rendered by the Corporation
Counsel's Office and recommends that
the claim be denied.
ORDINANCE
Bill 102$: AMENDMENT TO CAPITAL BUDGET
Amends Ordinance , 586, the Capital Budget Ordinance for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1973, and ending June 30,
1974:
(Intr. by: Mr. Carpenter)
The Committee is in accord with the
intent and purpose of Bill 102$ and
recommends passage on first reading.
The purpose of the bill is to restore
lapsed funds of $40,000 for Ka Lae Park.
