COUNTY OF HAWAII

October 25, 1974, submitting for filing a supplemental
summary of indebtedness of the County of Hawaii as of
October 25, 1974 which is required within thirty days
of the delivery of a new bond issue:

/No . $75 .5 : H.R. 12225 - PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES LEGISLATION
From U. S. Senator Hiram L. Fong dated October 11,
1974, acknowledging receipt of Resolution 271 and
assuring that he will bear the position of the County

lation come before the Senate for debate and vote :

October 29, 1974, requesting authorization to extend
the contract of Richard Sasaki, Special Counsel for
the County of Hawaii in CAB matters, to include
approximately $3, 500 for special counselling in the
Young Bros . PUC barge freight rate increase case :
Approve request and refer to
Finance Director for funding .

(Bill 88) From Stanley A . Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated
October 25, 1974, submitting for consideration a bill
to appropriate County funds so that award of contract
can be made for installation of an integrated VHF-
radio microwave system for the police department :
Recommend passage of Bill 88 on
first reading and refer back to

AMENDMENTz Comm. 1034.1: CONTRACT WITH RICHARD SASAKI
From Clifford H. F. Lum, Corporation Counsel, dated
October 29, 1974, requesting authorization to extend
the contract of Richard Sasaki, Special Counsel for
the County of Hawaii in CAB matters, to include
approximately $3 , 500 for special counselling in the
Young Bros. PUC barge freight rate increase case.
Approve the request for $3 , 500
should the Corporation Counsel
feel it is necessary, taking
into consideration the extent
Maui and Kauai Counties ' parti-
cipation on this issue.
