The following are the recommendations of the Finance Committee
which were considered at its meeting of November 26, 1974:
COMMUNICATIONS
�No. 1054: MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION (Rec. 1/FC-31)
From Stanley A. Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated
November 7, 1974, informing that the registration form
could be redesigned to reduce confusion between "model
year" and "date first sold" but the change will not take
place until after the 1975 supply of forms are exhausted
and after consultation with other counties.

�No. 1056: REAL PROPERTY EVALUATIONS
An open letter to the Governor, Mayor, Councilmen, tax
assessors and collectors and taxpayers of Hawaii dated
November 12, 1974 from a group of property owners in
the Kamuela community going on record protesting the
latest real property assessment.

c _ No. 1059: COUNTY OF HAWAII VS. MIDKIFF, ET AL. -- CIVIL NO. 3336 -
KEAUHOU PARK
From Claire M. Marumoto, Deputy Corporation Counsel,
dated November 19, 1974, informing that the County of
Hawaii filed a condemnation suit to obtain Parcel 22
(TMK: 7-8-05-22) for a public park in Keauhou, North Kona,
and requests authorization to stipulate to an order of
judgment in the amount of $73, 340 to Frank E. Midkiff,
et al. , Trustees of Bishop Estate, who have agreed to
settle the case and accet the value placed upon the
parcel by appraiser Edwd Y. Kanemoto.

`No. 1072: STREET CROSSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
From District Superintendent William A. Waters dated
November 8, 1974, requesting approval to add one (1)
additional adult street crossing supervisor for Keaau;

dated November 20, 1974, informing that there is a
definite need for a responsible adult street crossing
supervisor at Keaau and requesting favorable consideration'
of the request.

RESOLUTIONS
No. 302: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
Amends the salary ordinance for the Department of
Water Supply (Engineering Division) :
