The following are the recommendations of the Finance Committee
which were considered at its meeting of July 15 , 1975 :
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 1389 : SALARY COMMISSION
From County Clerk dated June 27, 1975 submitting for
appropriate disposition a letter and enclosures from the
Salary Commission, County of Hawaii.
Refer to County Clerk to request
the Finance Director to make the
necessary adjustments in the 1975-1976
budget.
,etC - No. 1390: 24-HOUR FIRE PROTECTION FOR KAU
From County Clerk dated July 1, 1975 submitting
Committee of the Whole Recommendation 5 that "the
County institute 24-hour fire protection for Kau
during this fiscal year on a limited basis but not
less than 6 firemen and that the FC set up the funds
for this purpose. "
Request the Finance Director to set
up funds for 24-hour fire protection
for Kau.

e�" — No. 1397 : ADDITIONAL POLICE PERSONNEL FOR KONA
From Don Eggerman, President, Kainaliu Business &
Professional Association, dated June 23, 1975 , asking
serious consideration to include in the 1975-76 budget
funds for additional police personnel for Kona.
Requests that sufficient manpower he provided for a
patrolman specifically assigned to the mauka area
from Honalo to Captain Cook and also one to the
Kailua Village area.
Receive and file. Refer to special
problem in Honalo and certain areas to the
Chief of Police.

ORDINANCE
Bill 143 : INSPECTION FEE AND STICKERS
Amends Chapter 6 (Traffic Code) , Article 19,
Hawaii County Code, as amended, by changing the
inspection fee and cost of inspection stickers.
