The following are the recommendations of the Finance Committee
which were considered at its meeting of November 11 , 1975:

No. 2. 1: NORMAL & ACCRUED LIABILITY CONTRIBUTIONS FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1976-1977
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated October 21, 1975 ,
submitting for information a letter and resolution from
Harold K.M. Lau of the Employees ° Retirement System
certifying the amount required for normal and accrued
liability contributions from the County of Hawaii for
the fiscal year July 1, 1976 to June 30, 1977.

No. 1380: CLAIM
- VICKI FELKER
From Donald K. Martin, Attorney at Law, dated June 20 , 1975
filing a claim in the sum of $25,000 on behalf of
Vicki Felker for injuries sustained in an accident at the
Hamilton Building parking lot on October 24, 1973 when
she fell into a lava tube.

October 22 , 1975, recommending that the claim be denied.
Accept recommendation of the
Corporation Counsel and recommend
that the claim be denied.
A,,C. No. 1613: WAIPIO VALLEY - FLOODING PROBLEM
From Chief Engineer dated October 28, 1975 , informing
that their immediate recommendation would be to open the
mouth of the Waipio Valley stream at a cost of $20 ,000;
notes that this remedy has no permanency and will need
to be repeated upon future buildup of debris.
Approve and refer to Finance
