were considered at its meeting of March 9 , 1976.

From Parks & Recreation Director Milton T. Hakoda
dated February 9 , 1976, informing that funds appropri-
ated for the Volcano Playground cannot be utilized
for payment of the appraisal of the Dicks' property
which was done by Walter Loo and Associates; therefore,
requests appropriation of $2 , 200 to cover the cost
of the appraisal. '
Approve request and refer to
Finance Director for funding.

No. 1722 .1: PORTUGUESE_CULTURE CLUB 'S BICENTENNIAL_ CELEBRATION
From Bicentennial Coordinator Ed Cheplic dated
February 27 , 1976, informing that he has assisted the
Big Island Portuguese Culture Club in drafting a pro-
posal to the Hawaii County Bicentennial Committee for •
"Bicentennial recognition. " Upon ratification by
the County Committee, copies of the proposal will be
submitted to the Hawaii Bicentennial Commission for
possible funding.
