COMMUNICATIONS 4 .C-- No. 354. 2: AGREEMENT = UNIT 12 (POLICEMEN) From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated August 2, 1976 informing that the Agreement between the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers and the County of Hawaii has been negotiated and ratified by unit employees with negotiated wages reflecting an across-the-board increase totalling $205 per month per employee, effective July 1, 1976. The cost items to be approved by the Council include wages, car allowance and items involving expenditures such as overtime and evening and night differential. Approve cost items for Unit 12. �No. 517. 6: REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION COSTS JULY 1, 1975 - JUNE 30, 1976 From State Director of Taxation Gordon Y. H. Wong dated July 30, 1976, transmitting copies of their tabulation of the real property assessment and col- lection costs for the period July 1, 1975 through June 30, 1976. Receive and file. Receive and file. /'No. 1911: INSTALLATION OF TELEPHONE OR CALL BOX OUTSIDE ALL POLICE STATIONS From Councilman Levin dated June 17 , 1976, suggesting that some kind of telephone or call box be installed outside all police stations, which would enable a person needing help to contact the nearest available personnel; perhaps phones could be connected to the Hilo Station so that messages, information, or calls for assistance could be routed by the dispatcher to appropriate authorities. 1911. 1: From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated August 3, 1976 informing that the police department plans to install a Tele Dialer at its County stations begin- ning in August. These automatic dialing telephones estimated to cost less than $100 will be programmed to dial theP olice central dispatch desk in Hilo, in radio contact with all mobile patrols. Opera- ting cost is estimated to be less than $750 per year for which adequate departmental communications funds are available. Receive and file. No. 1944: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT From Civil Defense Executive Coordinator Harry Kim dated July 20, 1976 informing that the request of transferring the position of Civil Defense Communi- cations Officer to the Hawaii County Police Depart- ment was made by their office to place that slot where it was needed and used the majority of the time.
