W J��i <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII i. 4�." %'• ` STATE OF HAWAII <br /> . 15.1:::'.414,OF•NF'�' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KEALAKEHE HIGH <br /> SCHOOL GRAD FOR PROJECT GRADUATION 2017. <br /> WHEREAS, Project Graduation 2017 is an event that will provide a safe, all-night <br /> celebration for graduating seniors from Kealakehe High School, West Hawai`i Explorations <br /> Academy, and qualifying home-schools; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kealakehe High School Grad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has <br /> coordinated Project Graduation since 2001; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kealakehe High School Grad needs funds to pay for entertainment, <br /> transportation, food, and other expenses associated with its graduation-night celebration on <br /> May 27, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Liquor Control's goals is to support youth <br /> programs that promote alcohol- and drug-free events, such as Project Graduation; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Kealakehe High School Grad to help pay for expenses <br /> associated with Project Graduation to be held on May 27, 2017. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
