Burns dated May 11, 1973 acknowledging receipt of Resolution 44, requesting the Cooperative Extension Service, College of Tropical Agriculture, University of Hawaii, to publish a new pamphlet on commercial guava production for public distribution. Informs that work has been under way for some time to revise and rewrite the guava production bulletin, incorporating the latest research findings and production techniques, and plans are to have them published by the end of the summer of 1973 • Receive and file; and transmit a copy of the Governor' s commu- nication to the Department of Research and Development for their information. ,c C- No. 261.4: SUBSIDIZED HOUSING (Resolution 39) From John J. Collins, Assistant to the Executive, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Housing and Urban Development, dated May 17, 1973, replying on behalf of President Nixon regarding the suspension of subsidized housing. Informs that the President intends to submit to Congress by September 7 his policy recommendations, based upon the results of a major housing study being undertaken within..the Government,under the direction of James T. This is a requirement of the rules and regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Suefuji, Planning Director, dated May 18, 1973 , recommending the change in district classification from a Double Family Residential (RD-3. 75) to a Multiple Family Residential (RM-1.25) zoned district at Hienaloli 5th, North Kona. Submits for adoption one of the following: (1) Planning Commission's Bill "A" to propose the change in zine, subject. to three conditions; or (2) Planning Department' s Bill "B" to propose change in zone, subject to conditions No. 1 and 2. The Commission, on its own initiative, decided to add the third condition. Approve and recommend passage of Bill 998 (A) on first reading. - No. 320 : REZONING REQUEST B. P.
