October 10, 1973 , informing that the land use data
which are stored in the Statistical and Computing
Center at the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus , are
retrievable, at some cost, from the University. Asks
that their department be informed should the Committee
desire any other combination of data from the existing
land use inventory system.

submitting comments on the proposed hotel construction
adjacent to Coconut Island, preservation of the coast-

action a bill revising Section 1 of Ordinance 479
to correct the metes and bounds description.

of Bill 1021 on first reading.
40,, (1 - No. 541: PROPOSED PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE
(Bill 6) From Raymond H. Suefuji , Planning Director, dated
October 18, 1973 , submitting for consideration and
action a proposed bill relating to dedication of
land for parks and playgrounds as a condition of
approval of a subdivision, pursuant to Act 140
adopted in 1970 by the State Legislature.
Points out that this proposal is not intended to
take over the present park development and acquisition
program; rather it is intended to supplement the
County' s park development efforts. Accordingly, informs

that this proposal should be reviewed and evaluated
with that perspective.
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 6 on first reading.

the Council to do its best to preserve and enhance
Kailua with a plan for specific Historic District.
