The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Research
and Development Committee which were considered at its meeting of
July 9, 1974:

�No. 799 : LANDSLIDE RISK ZONING ORDINANCE - KEALAKEKUA BAY AREA
From Council Chairman Robert M. Yamada dated April 18,
1974, transmitting Dr. Augustine Furumoto's suggestions
for a Landslide Risk Zoning Ordinance for the Kealakekua
Bay area which was presented by Mr. Alan Tyler at the
April 17 Council meeting.
799. 1: From Dr. Augustine S . Furumoto, Professor of Geophysics,
University of Hawaii, dated May 23, 1974, informing that
he has not made any presentation to the Planning Commission
concerning the Kreiger/McCoy rezoning request.

C- No. 890: DEDICATION OF PARK SITE - HAWAIIAN PARKS SUBDIVISION
From Clifford H. F. Lum, Corporation Counsel, dated
June 26, 1974, returning the Dedication Deed with
recommendations , as listed.

of the Corporation Counsel.
RECOMMENDATION
,i. • No. 1: CA=94: ) KEALAKEKUA BAY - PERCOLATION TESTS
(C-814) Request the Department of Health to determine the adverse
effect of cesspool and surface runoff in the Kealakekua
Bay area by conducting percolation tests on specific
capacity and permeability.

districts at Ililoa, Kalamaumi and Kalamakowali
Homesteads , S. Kona.
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 56 on first reading and
refer Bill back to Committee.
