HomeMy WebLinkAboutREP PRDC 033 07/30/1974 1972-1976 - } ' • • PLANNING, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE REPORT NO. 33 Hawaii County Council Hilo,Hawaii The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Research and Development Committee which were considered at its meeting of July 30, 1974: COMMUNICATIONS &Ge -- No. 116 : KAILUA SPECIAL DISTRICT (C-1644 & 1644.1) (Bill 966) From Mayor Kimura dated January 10, 1973, submitting (Res. 20) for adoption Bill 966, providing for the establishment of a Kailua Village Special District and Urban Design Review Commission and defining its powers , duties and responsibilities, and Resolution 20, creating a Clerk- Stenographer position in the Kona office of the Public Works Department. Informs that the Review Commission, if established, will require considerable clerical assistance, estimated at one-fourth to one-half time, and the inspection section of the Kona Public Works Office has been in extreme need of clerical help ever since assuming building plan approval functions for West Hawaii. Approve and recommend passage of Bill 966, as revised, on first reading; and file Resolution 20. 116. 1: From Frank J. Therefore, requests the Council to confirm its action in the form of an ordinance. Approve and recommend passage of Bill 61 on first reading. Martin, Chairman, Planning Commission, dated July 18, 1974, submitting for adoption a bill to change the district classification from an 411 PRDC-33 - 4 - July 30, 1974 Agricultural (A-3a) to a Single Family Residential (RS-15 ) zoned district at Waiakea Homesteads Second Series, Waiakea, South Hilo. Approve and recommend passage of Bill 63 on first reading. C.- No. 916 : REZONING REQUEST - KAMEHAMEHA DEVELOPMENT CORP. (Bill 64) KEAUHOU 1st, NORTH KONA (TMK: 7-8-10:25 & Por. of 36) From Arthur W. Martin, Chairman, Planning Commission, dated July 18, 1974, submitting for adoption a bill to change the district classification from an Open (0) to a Multiple Family Residential (RM-2.0) zoned district at Keauhou 1st, North Kona.
