Funds will be used to purchase <br /> equipment and supplies to support little fire ant control operations. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawai`i Department of Agriculture to allow the County to receive funds for this <br /> program. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by <br /> appropriating this $225,000 to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Little Fire Ant <br /> Control —Department of Agriculture account. <br /> The Department of Parks and Recreation requests that this bill and resolution be waived <br /> from the Finance Committee, and be placed on the March 8, 2017 Council Agenda in <br /> order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
