Garcia dated January 7, 1976, informing that they have been notified that the County/Soil and Water Conservation Districts of the Big Island sponsored application for program assistance, titled Big Island Resources Conserva- tion and Development Project, has been approved by USDA and thanks the Council for playing a major role in gaining favorable acceptance of the program application by adoption of Resolution 122 on September 22, 1973 . Sterling, Jr. , Chairman, Planning Commission, dated January 12, 1976, informing that the Commission at its meeting of January 8 reviewed the proposed ordinance relating to the deferral of any rezoning actions in the Kalapana-Kaimu area and voted to send to the Council a favorable recommendation on Bill 188. Bill 188 : Relating to deferrral of amendments to Chapter 8 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, relating to the Kalapana-Kaimu area. Approve and recommend adoption of Bill 188 on second and final reading. 411 • PRDLC-67 - 3 - January 27, 1976 No. 1697 : REZONING REQUEST - < DANIEL HATA (Bill 206) OLAA, PUNA (TMK: 1-7-01:Portion of 21) From Leon K. Sterling, Jr. , Chairman, Planning Commission, dated January 12, 1976, submitting for adoption a bill to change the district classification from an Agricultural to a Single FamilyResidential (RS-10) zoned (A-10a) district at Olaa, Puna. Approve and recommend passage of Bill 206 on first reading. (Oppose: Mr. Levin) RESOLUTION No. 526 : EXTENSION OF RUNWAY AT WAIMEA-KOHALA AIRPORT ('-1413 . 1/PRDLC-56 ) Urges Hawaiian Airlines to service the Waimea-Kawaihae-Kohala and Hamakua communities by providing daily scheduled service to the Waimea-Kohala Airport and that the State of Hawaii provide for the lengthening and widening, -of the runway at the Waimea-Kohala Airport.
