The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Research, Develop-
ment and Legislative Committee which were considered at its meeting of
February 9, 1976:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 1159.1: CHANGE OF ZONE - AMFAC COMMUNITIES , INC. (ORD. 94)
WAIAKAHIULA, PUNA (TMK: 1-5-02:portion of 2)
Copy of letter to Amfac,:. Communities, Inc. , from Planning
Director dated January 22, 1976 advising that the time
permit for submittal of the development plans as stipulated
in Condition C of Ordinance 94 expires on March 11, 1976
and requests that this matter be given immediate attention;
if no word is received by March 11, assumes that they have
no intentions of fulfilling public representations and may
take appropriate action towards rezoning the subject land
back to its original classification.
1159.2: Copy of letter to Amfac.__ Communities, Inc.-Hawaii from
Planning Director dated February 3, 1976, acknowledging
receipt of the required development plans for the subject
village commercial zoned areas and informing that submitted
plans satisfy only a portion of Condition C which also
stipulates that '"oonsttuction shall commence three years
thereof. " -

Copy of letter to Keauhou Kai, Inc. , from Planning Director
dated January 22, 1976, advising that the expiration date
for compliance with Condition A of Ordinance 97 is March 11,
1976 and requests that this matter be given immediate
attention; if no word is received by March 11, assumes
that they have no intentions of fulfilling public representa-
tions and may take appropriate action towards rezoning the
subject land back to its original classification.
