The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Research, Develop-
ment and Legislative Committee which were considered at its meeting of
June 21, 1976 :

From Legislative Committee Chairman De Luz dated June 7,
1976, transmitting for disposition a copy of the final
report of the 1976 Legislature from HSAC Legislative
Attorney Wilfred K. Watanabe.

kec,a°- No. 1909 : SIGNS FOR GASOLINE PRICES
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated June 8, 1976
informing that the Council has taken actions and granted
variances on signs reflecting gasoline prices for several
service stations by accepting their recommendations for
approval. Because of the consistency in the approval
of these variances and coupled with the concept of pro-
• viding assistance to the public, requests that proper
action be taken to permit their department to issue
sign permits for the subject signs without having the
applicants apply for variances ; requests further that
the sign shall meet conditions as listed.
Approve request and refer to
Corporation Counsel to prepare
proper bill for an ordinance,
if required.

on second and final reading.
