The following are the recommendations of the Planning, Research, Develop-
ment and Legislative Committee which were considered at its meeting of
July 27, 1976 :
COMMUNICATION
No. 1912 : DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST
(Bill 233 ) From Councilman Andrew C. Levin dated June 17, 1976 ,
informing that under the Hawaii County Code and the
County Charter, all employees and officers of the
County are required to make full disclosure of any
interest they may have that "might reasonably tend
to create a conflict with the public interest" 20 days
after appointment; submits for consideration Bill 233
which changes the time of disclosure from 20 days after
appointment to 10 days before in order that the Council
as a body confirming appointments , may receive informa-
tion before reaching a decision on confirmation.
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 233 on first reading.
