Aci2 L— No. 227. 14: COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT
From Helen S . Baldwin, Secretary, Hawaii Island
Conservation Council, dated July 15 , 1976, submitting
their recommendations for Coastal Zone Management of
the Island of Hawaii , and urgently requests that they
be incorporated into the CZM program.

From Planning Commission Chairman Leon K. Sterling, Jr. ,
dated July 29, 1976, submitting for adoption a bill to
change the district classification from a Single Family
Residential - 10,000 square foot (RS-10) to a Village
Commercial - 10, 000 square foot (CV-10) zoned district
at Nanawale Homesteads , Pahoa, Puna.
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 238 on first reading.
'N o. 1958: WAIMEA AIRPORT
From Councilman William S . Kawahara dated August 2,
1976, expressing serious concern of the residents of
Waimea about air service to and from the community.
Suggests Council communicate with both of the local
airlines to obtain facts pertinent to air service so
appropriate steps can then be taken to meet this
problem confronting Waimea.

C From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated August 10, 1976,
informing he is returning Bill 232 to PRDLC with his
comments for consideration and action.
Recommend that the Council reconsider
its action on Bill 232 on second and
final reading and refer said bill to
the Planning Director and Planning
Commission for review and public
hearing.

RESOLUTION
No. 623 : AIR FREIGHT FACILITIES AT OLD HILO AIRPORT TERMINAL
Requests Governor George R. Ariyoshi to release the
$30,000 appropriated by the 1976 State Legislature
for the planning and designing to convert the air
freight facilities at the hold Hilo Airport terminal
into an agriculture assembly-distribution-storage
center.

From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated August 10,
1976, informing he is returning Bill 232 to
PRDLC with his comments for consideration and
action.
Recommend that the Council reconsider
its action on Bill 232 on second and
final reading and refer said bill to
the Planning Director and Planning
Commission for review and public hear-
ing pending review by the Corporation
Counsel and report to PRDLC by August 23 ,
1976.
