N 0 117: AMENDMENT TO SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE From Minoru Shigeoka & Hiromu Yamanaka dated February 2, 1973, proposing amendment to Ordinance 62, Section 10A, Water Supply; feels agricultural zones with land area of 5 acres or more should beexcluded from requirement; by making exceptions to agricultural lots of 5 acres or more will help greatly in making land available to individuals for farming. 117. 1: From Mayor Kimura dated June 4, 1973, informing adminis- tration is attempting to find reasonable set of changes and guidelines that would encourage agricultural usage of our lands but which will also prevent land speculation under the guise of agricultural development and also to protect the County's future liabilities for water systems ; will submit amendments to Council along with suggested implementing ordinances , rules and regulations. 117. 2 : From Planning Director Raymond Suefuji dated September; 30, 1976, informing that the Department of Water Supply, Planning Director and Corporation Counsel will be getting together very shortly to discuss amending the Department of Water Supply' s rules and regulations regarding water requirements for subdivisions and that they would have a draft prepared for the Commission' s October meeting. Informs also that any amendments must comply with the public hearing requirement; therefore, the public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed amendment. Receive and file. No. 1982 : SIGN VARIANCE REQUEST - PIZZA HUT From Council Chairman Robert M. Yamada dated August 19, 1976,, transmitting a sign variance request as submitted by Pizza Hut to display their banner (19 feet by 33 inches ) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. , Mondays through Fridays. Awe.- 1982. 1: From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated October 28, 1976 recommending jointly with the Planning Department that the sign variance request be denied based on their comments . Accept recommendation of Chief Engineer and deriyrisign variancerequest. /No. 2019 : GOVERNMENT HELP IN PROMOTING AGRICULTURE BY PLANT GIVE-AWAYS From Councilman William S.
