The following is the recommendation of the Public Safety
and Transportation Committee which was considered at its meeting
of January 11, 1973:
COMMUNICATION
-C-No. 55: CHANGE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY DESIGNATION
From Highway Safety Council dated December 21, 1972 ,
requesting that item bq)of subsection 3 , Section 9-3 ,
Ordinance No. 39, Signs Required at Through Streets,
be amended to reverse the traffic right-of-way at the
intersection of Uhaloa Road and Wilder Road in Kaumana,
South Hilo. Informs that Wilder Road has the majority
of traffic and therefore should be designated as a
through street and Uhaloa Road should revert to being
a local minor street.
Approve the request of the Highway
Safety Council and refer to the
Corporation Counsel to prepare the
proper amendment.
