The following are the recommendations of the Public Safety and
Transportation Committee which were considered at its meeting of
August 22, 1973:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 211: SECOND HIGH SCHOOL - TRAFFIC PROBLEM (Comm. 152/PSTC-4)
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated March 19, 1973,
regarding the traffic problems in the vicinity of the
proposed second high school. Submits copy of letter
from the Department of Education informing that the
Department is in the process of engaging a consultant
for the planning of the second high school and will
have the planning coordinated with the County agencies.

. No. 409 : FIRE DEPARTMENT - ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING POWERS, DUTIES
(Bill 2) AND FUNCTIONS
From Assistant Corporation Counsel Haruo Oda, dated
August 7, 1973, transmitting an ordinance prescribing
the powers, duties and functions of the Fire Department
for favorable consideration and adoption.
Receive and file;and recommend
passage of Bill 2 on first
reading.
