The following is the recommendation of the Agriculture and
Visitor Industry Committee which was copsidered at its meeting of
February 27, 1973 :
COMMUNICATIONS :
HB 555: PRESERVATION OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS THROUGH THE
(C-142) ESTABLISHMENT OF AGRICULTURAL PRESERVES
Provides for the creation of agricultural preserves
and the assessment of such lands at 50% of value.
HB-644: TAXATION OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS
(C-142)
Provides for assessment of lands designated "agricultural"
according to 246-10 HRS and exclusively and intensively
used for agriculture, without regard to its market value
based upon its highest and best use or to neighboring
land uses.
