The following are the recommendations of the Agriculture and
Visitor Industry Committee which were considered at its meeting of
October 31, 1973:
COMMUNICATIONS :
No. 477. 1: RESOLUTION 132 - OPPOSING LEGISLATION TO PERMIT
ONE STOP INCLUSIVE TOUR CHARTER TRIPS
From U. S. Representative Patsy T. Mink,dated
October 23, 1973, acknowledging receipt of
Resolution 132 and informs that she has forwarded
a copy of the resolution to the House Committee
involved with her suggestion that any such
provision be deleted.
'477. 2: From U. S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, dated
October 18, 1973, acknowledging receipt of
Resolution 132 and believes that S. 1739 needs
further study before the Congress passes it.
477. 3: From U. S. Representative Sparky Matsunaga,
dated October 24, 1973, acknowledging receipt of
Resolution 132 and assures that he will have the
County' s views in mind when the measure comes
before the Rules Committee and to the floor
of the House for deliberation.

'No. 543 : CONSTRUCTION OF NEW TERMINAL AT GENERAL LYMAN FIELD '
Copy of a letter to Governor Burns from Robert G. Grimmer,
President, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, dated
October 22, 1973, urging that the established timetable
to implement construction of the new Hilo terminal be
continued.-
543. 1: Copy of a letter to Hugh Clark of the Honolulu Advertiser
from Earl Younker, President, Kona Chamber of Commerce,
dated October 21, 1973, opposing the Hilo Airport Expansion.
