379.4: From Mayor Shunichi Kimura dated January 14, 1974,
submitting for information a copy of letter sent to
Mrs. Mebane in response to her letter to the editor
regarding the arrival of the Monterey.

From Tornio Fujii, Chairman, Agriculture and Visitor
Industry Committee, submitting legislative proposals
for the Committee's consideration.
Accept proposals and refer
to the Legislative Committee
for lobbying at this session
of the Legislature.
RECOMMENDATION
1S IJ,c„No, 1: SHIPS , VISITATIONS
Request the Legislative Auditor to conduct a study to
determine the economic impact of ships° visitations in
. consultation with the various Chambers of Commerce and
the Hawaii Visitors Bureau and report back to Committee.
