The following is the recommendation of the Legislative Committee
which was considered at its meeting held December 11, 1973 :

COMMUNICATIONS
- NNo. 592 : INTRUDING, LOITERING, LOAFING OR IDLING ON SCHOOL
PREMISES
From Paul M. De Silva, Prosecuting Attorney, dated
November 30, 1973, informing that the State' s statute
prohibiting the intruding, loitering, loafing or
idling on school premises was repealed by the legisla-
ture when it enacted the State Penal Code on January 1,
1973, and recommends the immediate enactment of an
ordinance to protect the schools against: intruders .
/Le- C- 592. 1: From Harry C. Chuck, District Superintendent, Department
of Education, dated November 30, 1973, requesting the
Council to take immediate and appropriate measures to
enact an ordinance to prevent the unauthorized intruding, _
loitering, loafing, or idling, on school premises .
Recommend approval and request •
the Corporation Counsel to draft
a bill for an ordinance.
