The following are the recommendations of the Social and Cultural
Development Committee which were considered at its meeting of
March 30, 1973:
COMMUNICATIONS
HB. 897 PLANS TO CONSTRUCT A CULTURAL MUSEUM IN HILO,
oP (C-167) HAWAII (Roehrig)
Appropriates $100,000 for plans to construct a cultural
museum in downtown Hilo, Hawaii. Museum to house displays
representing all the ethnic backgrounds of Hawaii' s
people.
Recommend Council support bill.
SB 595
f, (C-167) HISTORIC PRESERVATION (Hulten)
Proposes that hearings be held prior to designation of
historic sites to determine whether or not such desig-
nation should be made.
Recommend Council support bill.
/No. 207: SISTER CITY RELATIONSHIP

1973 , informing of efforts to rejuvenate relationship
with our sister cities and attaching reply received
from Orange County.
