Erskine, Chairman, Executive Committee, Parks & Recreation Commission Informs the Mayor that the Executive Committee of the County Parks & Recreation Commission voted to support the Kona Parks & Recreation Commission' s recommendation that the Kailua School site be placed in the public domain as a Memorial Botanical Park in memory of those young men of Kona who died while in the service of their country. Request that the County support this action: Request the administration through the Planning Dept. to submit plans to the Governor for multiple use of the land incorporating a concept for municipal parking, a public park and the Parks & Recreation Commission' s recommendation for a Memorial Botanical Park. This multiple use is necessary due to the extremely high value of the land. Request the administration to inform the Department of Education of the County' s feelings.
