ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
PARKING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-281, schedule 29, Parking
prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow-away zone, subsection (c), South Hilo, of
the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by repealing the
following listings:
"[- Derby Lane, except for northeast side, : • :
southeastern terminus, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.]
[- Derby Lane, northeast side, from a point thirty feet southeast of
Wilson Street and extending forty five feet in the southeasterly
direction, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.]
[- Derby Lane, northeast side, from a point twenty seven feet northwest
of Wilson Street to a point forty two feet southeast of HOku Street,
from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.]
[- Wilson Street, northwest side, from a point thirty feet southwest of
Kilauea Avenue to a point thirty feet northeast of Derby Lane, from
10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.]"
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. In printing this
ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material need not be included.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
