No. 603.1: Philip Hooton, Chairman, Highway Safety Council Re: C-603/PWC-21 - Hamakua Traffic Safety- Committee Requests Submits comments and recommendations in response to the subject referral: 1) Pakalana Street Pedestrian Walkway Recommends that the walkway with traffic rolls be installed for pedestrian safety: (Estimated cost - $27,000) Refer to the 1970-71 CIP budget for consideration. 2) Widening Entrance Road to Paauilo School Recommends referral of this matter back to the Hamakua Traffic Safety Committee with the suggestion that this improvement be referred to the Department of Education: Accept recommendation. 3) Old County Roads in Kalopa and Waimea Informs that improvement of sharp turns on Kalopa homestead roads will be considered in the CIP for Hamakua. RESOLUTION �No . 200: Resolution Providing for the Acquisition of Land for the Kainaliu Diversion System, Kona Watershed Project in North Kona, County and State of Hawaii: Recommends adoption of Resolu- tion No. 200 on second and final reading. ORDINANCE Bill 660: An Ordinance Amending Article 18 (Stopping for Loading and Unloading Only) of Ordinance No. 39 (Traffic Code) , Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, by Adding a New Section Providing for the Designation of Passenger Loading and Unloading Zones and by Eliminating Two Parking Stalls Located: in Front of Sky Chef, Inc. , of 58 Kinoole-Street, Hilo, Hawaii, and Establishing A Freight Loading and Unloading Zone in Its Place: Recommends that Bill No. 660 be filed.
