The following are the recommendations of the Public Works
Committee which were considered at its meeting of April 3, 1970:
COMMUNICATIONS
/No . 765 : Matsu Uehara, Jr. , Auto Club of Hawaii
Requests the assistance of the Council in acquiring
the use of a suitably located site for the purpose
of a public drag racing demonstration:

No. 776 : Albert Jeremiah, Jr. , Deputy Corporation Counsel
Re: Leilani Street Drywell Sump
Recommends approval of the settled terms for the
acquisition of Parcel 1 (4$ sq. ft . ) , needed by the
County of Hawaii for the above project, for the
total sum of S288.00:
Recommends approval.
(Mr. Yamada declared a
possible conflict of interest
and abstained from voting. )
No . 794: 7th Graders, Social Studies Class, Konawaena High &
Intermediate School
Expresses their concern about the unsanitary condition
of the Keauhou rubbish dump and requests the County's
help in relocating the dump to another location or
cleaning the dump:
Refer to the administration
for their action and report
back to the Committee.
