Subject: Hilo High School
Withdrawal of Land for Bus Loading & Unloading Area
We have recently received Executive Order Nos . 02650 and 02652, which
have been signed by the Honorable John A. Burns, Governor. The Executive
• Orders are for the withdrawal of portions of land from Hilo High School
site under Executive Order No. 223, Part I.
Specifically, the land that has been withdrawn is for a total area of .615
acres and delineated for the bus loading and unloading area that was built
by the County of Hawaii.
I am forwarding to you copies of the documents including the map of the
area.
•
In view that the land is no longer under the control of the Department of
Education and now_ under the control of the County of Hawaii, Hawaii District
Department of Education respectfully requests that the area be maintained
properly, and the periodic cleaning of the area be implemented immediately.
We further recommend that appropriate notices be issued to the Hawaii
County• Police Department for surveillance of the area and that all posted
signs adhered to.
We are also forwardinga copyof the document to the Department of
