Committee which were considered at its meeting of February 5, 1971:

Comm. 1156.1: REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT - RICKARD PLACE, HONOKAA

Chief Engineer informs that Helco has been authorized
to install a street light on pole No. 3, Rickard Place,
Honokaa:

, Comm. 1228: REQUEST TO INSTALL UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL AND
TELEPHONE CONDUITS ACROSS BANYAN DRIVE BY ALFLO
RONCO DEVELOPMENT, INC.
Chief Engineer recommends that the installation
be allowed, subject to the conditions listed:
Approve request.
Comm. 1232: REPORT AS TO WHY THE BURNT-OUT LIGHTS NEAR THE
ST. ANTHONY' S RECTORY IN PAPAALOA WERE NOT CHANGED

Chief Engineer informs that the burnt-out street
light lamp has been replaced and that their previous
letters (Re : CM-217 & CM-219) explains the procedures
for the replacement of burnt-out street lights:

4901111 . 1235: THREE-CENT FUEL TAX
Council Chairman submits for consideration, a letter
from the Director of Taxation regarding the elimination
of the 3-cent tax on liquid fuel and diesel oil:
Retain the 3-cent tax by
amending Res. No . 147 of
1957, by changing the County
fuel tax from 3 cents to
6 cents for the maintenance
of County roads throughout
the Island.
(Opposed: Mr. Souza)
ORDINANCES
Bill 750: NO PARKING ZONE - KILAUEA AVENUE
Establishes no parking zone on:
a. makai side of Kilauea Avenue from Aupuni to
Kekuanaoa Street ; and
b. mauka side of Kilauea Avenue from a point
220 feet south of Barenaba Lane to Lanihuli
Street, except that parking shall be permitted
in (4) marked stalls during other than peak
hours; said stalls being situated on the
mauka-Puna side of the Kilauea-Mohouli Street
intersection:
Bill 751: Establishes no parking zone on the mauka side of
Kilauea Avenue from a point 227 feet south of Kamana
Street to Lanikaula Street during afternoon peak
hours:
