PROPOSED HONOKAA HIGH & ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARY - ADMINISTRATION BUILDING Chief Engineer submits for approval and authorization for execution of the documents by the Mayor, quitclaim deeds and an abandonment resolution for the subject road and parcel: Approve and recommend adoption of Resolution No . 356 ;. and authorize execution of the documents by the Mayor. M No . 1350.2: REDUCTION OF SPEED LIMIT - PALANI ROAD (C-1350 & 1350.1/PWC-5i ) Chief of Police informs that the speed study conducted . by the police department concurs with the recommendation to lower the speed, and recommends that adequate signs be posted to inform the public of this reduced speed zone: Accept recommendation and refer . to the Chief Engineer for the installation of proper signs . Yasuhara, President, Downtown Improvement Association, requests that two buildings in the down- town district be torn down and removed . One is a building on Keawe Street next to the Central Pacific Bank and the other on Kamehameha Avenue (Nos. 256-266) : Refer to the administration to take whatever steps they feel are necessary to alleviate the problem of unsafe buildings. No . 1425 : CAPTAIN COOK SUBDIVISION - STREET LIGHT & SAFETY MARKINGS Irma P. Chillingworth, Secretary, Captain Cook Community Association, requests that a street light be installed on the makai side of Mamalahoa Highway at the entrance to the Captain Cook Subdivision just south of the Captain Cook Sure Save Parking lot . Also requests that safety markings be made at the inter- section of Captain Cook Road and Hind Drive in the Captain Cook Subdivision: Refer requests to the Chief Engineer for action. ORDINANCES Bill 7$6: AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 350 IMPROVEMENTS BY .ASSESSMENT Amends Ordinance No . 350 relating to improvements by assessment : (Intr. By: Mr. Hisaoka) Comm. 1420: Corporation Counsel transmits a revised draft of Bill 7$6 amending Ordinance No . 350 relating to improve- ments by assessment : Approve and recommend adoption of amended Bill 7$6 on second and final reading. Bill 793 : AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 39 Amends Section 22-3 (Penalties) of Ordinance No . 39 (Traffic Code) : (Intr. By: Mrs. Yadao ) Approve and recommend passage of Bill 793 on first reading.
