Committee which were considered at its meeting of September 3,
1971 :
4ec- Comm. 1149.1: ESTABLISHMENT OF SPEED LIMIT FOR HILO COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE

From Deputy Corporation Counsel dated Aug. 26, 1971,
transmitting a proposed ordinance establishing a 35 mph
speed limit for Hilo Country Club Drive: (Bill 820)
Approve and recommend passage
of Bill 820 on first reading.
Comm. 1517: LA H IK 1NA SUBDIVISION - ROAD DEDICATION DEED
From Kenneth Griffin, Manager, RSM, Inc. , dated
July 16, 1971, transmitting for acceptance, a
Dedication Deed for a portion of the roads in the
La Hikina Subdivision. Also transmits copies of
the Partial Release by the First Hawaiian Bank of
the subject property:

1971, transmitting for acceptance, the road and
water system dedication deed for the subject
subdivision. The Public Works Department has
recommended acceptance:

Copy of a letter to Mr. John F. Conrad from Chief
Engineer dated Aug. 25, 1971, regarding the mis-
understanding on the requirements for a building
permit:

Comm. 1584: APPROPRIATE SIGNS FOR LOCATION OF PUBLIC PARKING AREAS
KAILUA-KONA (Re: 8/11/71 letter)
From Chief Engineer dated Aug. 24, 1971, informing that
there are no public parking areas in Kailua-Kona. The
existing parking areas are privately owned:

Comm. 1585: CAMBRA ROAD - HAWI, NORTH KOHALA (Rec. 1/PWC-60)
From Chief Engineer dated Aug. 27, 1971, informing
that because there are existing commercial buildings
located on either side of Cambra Road at the inter-
section, acquisition of additional right-of-way to
conform to the County' s minimum road standards will
be too costly at this time :

Comm. 1588: TRANSFER OF FUNDS
From Stanley A. Nakamae, Director of Finance, dated
Aug. 31, 1971, requesting $20,000 be transferred
from Account No . C-82000 (Contingency Fund) to
remedy a posting error:

Bill 821: KILAUEA-MOHOULI INTERSECTION - CHANGE IN PROJECT SCOPE
Amends Ordinance 409 to delete the Installation of
Traffic Signal Lights project entitled "Pedestrian
Lights on Kilauea fronting Kapiolani Street" and
adding the project entitled "Kilauea-Mohouli. "

cost estimate to remove the plants along the Kailua
seawall and replace with exposed aggregate concrete
