It has come to the attention of the Hawaii County
Council that ground transportation companies are
not permitted to conduct tours through the papaya
and orchid fields and the eruption sites in Puna.
The Council feels that these attractions are of
particular interest to the visitors and that the
Public Utilities Commission should not ban the
tour drivers from going into these and other scenic
sites in the lower Puna area,` but should allow the
development of a circuitous route so the visitors
could view .and appreciate the natural 'andawesome
beauty that Puna offers.
Your..comments on this request., will be appreciated .
