No. 1842: SPEED LIMITS - MOHOULI SUBDIVISION From Chief Engineer dated February 15, 1972, recommending that Ordinance No. 39 be amended by the addition of the following subsection to Section 10-5(a) to reduce the speed limit from 35 mph to 25 mph: 11 . The following streets within the Mohouli Subdivision in Waiakea, South Hilo. a. Kumukoa Street, from Mohouli Street northwestward (Hamakua) to its terminal. b. Popolo Street, from Mohouli Street northwestward (Hamakua) to its terminal. c. Hoopuni Street d. Iloko Street e. Hilina' i Street. " Accept recommendation and refer to the Corporation Counsel to prepare the proper amendments. A , 1111 411 PWC-75 - 4 - February 24, 1972 1 No. 1853: KEAUKAHA BUILDING PERMIT (M-299) From Chief Engineer dated February 23, 1972, submitting for information, an opinion from the Acting Corporation Counsel covering the items of concern presented to the Council at its February 16, 1972 meeting. It is his opinion that the discrepancies alleged are unfounded and the permit is valid as issued: Accept opinion of the Acting Corporation Counsel and transmit a copy of the opinion to the Keaukaha Moratorium Ad Hoc Committee. Pet. 29: Petition of November 24, 1971, opposing resort development in South Kona, the proposed scenic roads and present planning of the area. Request that the County of Hawaii take necessary action to implement and insure the proposals as mentioned in the petion. 29. 2: From PWC Chairman dated February 24, 1972, submitting comments on Item 1 of Petition 29. Bill 852: An ordinance amending Section (10-5 ( a) of Ordinance No. 39 for reduced speed limit for Palani Road, Kailua-Kona, and Mamalahoa Highway, Papaikou.
