The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Public Service
which were considered at its meeting of December 15 , 1976:
COMMUNICATIONS
'No. 7 : COUNTY SIGNS (C-2006, C-2024, Rec.. 2/RTC-74)
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated November 23 , 1976
informing of their incremental program to upgrade traffic
signs and posts.
Receive and file.
C_ No. 8: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated November 26 , 1976
recommending that No Parking zones be authorized for
streets within Kawaihae Village in South Kohala which are
necessary for the safe movement of Vehicular traffic
within the subdivision.
Accept recommendation and refer
to Corporation Counsel to prepare
proper amendment.
No. 9 : IMPROVEMENT AND INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT KINOOLE
(Res. 10) AND KAWAILANI INTERSECTION, WAIAKEA, S. HILO
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated November 29 , 1976
submitting resolution for consideration and adoption
providing for the acquisition of land necessary for the
subject project, through eminent domain proceedings.
Approve and recommend passage
of Resolution 10 on first reading.
