Ushijima dated February 8, 1977 transmitting for information and review, copies of the Report of a Tourism Study Mission to the South Pacific. Receive and file. No. 167: HOTEL ROOM TAX (RESOLUTION 17) From Speaker of the House James H. Wakatsuki dated February 10, 1977 acknowledging receipt of Resolution 17 which he has forwarded to the Chairmen of the Committees on Tourism and Finance for their review and consideration. MAR a 19]1 ATC-4 - 2 - February 23 , 1977 (-- No. 168 : VISITOR INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL' S PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS From ATC Chairman James L. K. Dahlberg dated February 14, 1977, informing he has received a detailed explanation of the Visitor Industry Education Council' s programs and projects along with informational brochures and wallet cards which are on file in the County Clerk' s office for perusal. Recommend Council support the Visitor Industry Education Council' s programs and projects . RESOLUTION �No. 31: SURCHARGE ON GIT FARES Urges United Airlines to reconsider the proposed $20 surcharge on GIT travelers as it will impose a financial burden on that segment of the market which could afford it the least and, more importantly, adversely affect the County' s economic well being.
