The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Agriculture
and Tourism which were considered at its meeting of June 8 , 1977:
COMMUNICATIONS
C- No. 354: COUNTY HELE-ON BUS SYSTEM - MODIFIED SCHEDULE
From David Busey, Chairman, Tourism Committee, Kona
Coast Chamber of Commerce, dated May 19 , 1977,
requesting frequent mini-bus runs (at least every
hour) between the Kona Surf Hotel and the village
of Kailua from 7:00 a.m. until midnight and a
Kailua beach shuttle to and from the northern
beaches as far as Hapuna from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Informs as part of this program they would like to
see bus stops constructed to comply with the recom-
mendations of the Kailua Special District Commission
to meet aesthetic standards of the area.
Support concept of bus service
as requested by Kona Coast
Chamber of Commerce and request
ATC Chairman to coordinate
schedule with Transit Coordinator
and Waikoloa Village Association.
