The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Finance which
were considered at its meeting of May 11, 1977 :

No. 53. 1: SUPPLEMENTARY SUMMARY OF INDEBTEDNESS OF COUNTY OF
HAWAII
'From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
April 27, 1977, submitting for filing, the supple-
mentary summary of the indebtedness of the County of
Hawaii as of April 15, 1977, in accordance with
Chapter 47C-3, HRS; and concurrences by the Finance
Committee Chairman and Corporation Counsel.

�No. 112 : CLAIM OF ALEXANDER GRANTZ
From Alexander Grantz dated January 10, 1977, filing
a claim for damage to his teeth as a result of an
incident that occurred on August 16, 1976. Informs
while driving his car in the Puna direction of
Kilauea Avenue, he felt a sharp sting directly on his
two front teeth caused by a County worker using a
weed-eater without a protective guard.
112. 1: From Deputy Corporation Counsel Lionel D. Meyer
dated April 22, 1977, informing they have settled
Mr. Grantz' s claim for $10. 00 and transmits the
executed Release for filing.

No. 250.: CLAIM - MARQUEZ U-DRIVE, INC.
From Attorney Gilbert K. Hara dated March 28, 1977,
demanding, on behalf of his client, Marquez U-Drive ,
Inc. , the amount. of $3,000 for damages to its auto-
mobile and attorney' s fee and costs incurred as the
result of the County' s negligence and maintenance of
the Middle Keei Road in Kona arising from an accident
that occurred on or before March 28, 1975.

No. 250. 1 : From Deputy Corporation Counsel Lionel D. Meyer
dated April 22, 1977, informing that, the subject
matter is presently pending before the Third Circuit
Court and that an answer to the complaint, has been
fiE1.d their office will keep the Council posted on
the status- of this case.

,C- No. 288: COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated April 22, 1977,
informing that agreements reached by the Employers
and the unions representing Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10,
and 13 on the subject of wages and cost items were
ratified by the employees in the respective units
on April 14, 1977.- Further informs terms of the
settlement and submits for approval the cost item
involving wages.

2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 13.

'No. 297 : CERTIFICATION BY DIRECTOR OF TAXATION OF NET TAXABLE
REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE COUNTY OF, HAWAII
From Director of Taxation Gordon Y. H. Wong dated
April 27, 1977. submitting certificate showing the
1977 net taxable valuation of real property within
the County of Hawaii and the real property tax rates
for the 1977-78 tax year based on the current tax
year' s real property tax revenue. This certificate
is furnished in compliance with Section 248-2, HRS.
