The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Finance which
were considered at its meeting of July 13, 1977 :
COMMUNICATIONS
c_ No. 161. 1 : ANIMAL CONTROL COMMISSION
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi, dated May 2, 1977,
informing that the cost of establishing and main-
taining an ad hoc animal control advisory commission
is estimated to be about $1,500, mostly for mileage
and meal reimbursements.
Approve funding for establishment
of an ad hoc animal control
advisory commission and refer to
administration for implementation.
4z ! - No. 403: CLAIM AGAINST COUNTY FOR INJURY TO HERBERT SLEIGHTHOLM
(C-2025 - 1976)
From Deputy Corporation Counsel Alan M. Okamoto
dated June 15, 1977, recommending denial of the
subject claim as their investigation failed to
show a prima facie case of actionable negligence on
the part of the County.
Accept recommendation of Corporation
Counsel and recommend that the claim
be denied.
�- No. 414: COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT - SHOPO
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated June 23, 1977,
informing that an agreement reached between the State
of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers and the
County of Hawaii was ratified by unit employees on
June 17, 1977, and submits for approval the cost
items involving wages , car allowances and overtime.

CONTROL INVESTIGATORS
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated June 24, 19 // ,
submitting for appropriations, cost items required
by the Memorandum. of Agreement entered into on
June 15 , 1977 between the Hawaii Government Employees'
Association, AFSCME, Local 152, AFL-CIO, and the
County of Hawaii on the subject of car allowances
for the Liquor Control Investigators of, Bargaining
Units 3 and 4. °
Approve cost items.
