The following are the recommendations of the Canmittee on Finance which
were considered at its meeting of September 28, 1977 :
COMMUNICATIONS
N o. 304: CLAIM - COASTLINE EXPRESS
From Kazuto Yamada, Coastline Express, dated
May 3, 1977, . filing a claim of $217. 20 for damages
incurred upon one of his express trucks. Informs on
November 1975 when a County dump truck filled with
gravel or dirt and his express truck were passing each
other going in opposite directions, a rock fell off
the dump truck on his truck' s windshield.
304. 1: From Deputy Corporation Counsel Alan M. Okamoto
dated September 13, 1977, informing the claim of
Kazuto Yamada for damage to the windshield of" his
vehicle is one that is covered by the County fleet
insurance policy. It appears that through oversight
Mr. Yamada was not contacted by Davies Insurance
Company of the claim; Davies has been asked to contact
Mr. Yamada to inform him of the company' s decision.
Since the claim is not one that requires Council
denial, asks that the letter be received and filed
and the claim be considered closed.
