Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
/ .c Comm. 943 DONATION FROM EAST HAWAII REPUBLICAN WOMAN'S
CLUB.
From East Hawaii Republican Woman's Club dated
September 27, 197$ informing they would like to
donate $200.00 to the County of Hawaii for use
by the Hawaii County Police Department in its
training effort ; should the Council agree with
their condition that this money be appropriated
to the Police Department for training, they will
• turn over said amount ;
recommends, pursuant to Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,
acceptance of the $200.00 donation offered by the East Hawaii
Republican Woman's Club for use explicitly by the Police Department
in its training program.
Further recommends that the County Clerk write an appropriate letter
of thanks and appreciation on behalf of the County Council to
Mrs. Daisy Smith, Scholarship Chairperson.
