Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
Comm. 929 : SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
(Res. 314) DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE - DIVISION OF ACCOUNTS
From Edward L . Silva, Director of Personnel Services,
dated September 14, 1978, submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the Salary Ordinance as 'a result
of a classification study completed by their office,
which was duly authorized by the Department of Finance
and the Administrative Review Committee in accordance
with Section 4-5 (c ) of the County Charter. Informs
the reallocation of Accountant III SR-21 to Computer
Operator SR-15 is due to the need for a position to
run the County's data utilizing the Department of
Water Supply' s computer ; funds need to be appropriated
for this position because the Accountant III position
was not funded in the current budget ;
recommends the Council approve the reallocation of the position of
Accountant III SR-21 to Computer Operator SR-15 in the Department of
Finance, Division of Accounts, and the accompanying Resolution No . 314
be adopted to accomplish this purpose.
This reallocation is in compliance with C-649 .3/FC-33 that the Finance
Director be authorized to "implement those items that need to be done
in order to proceed with the EDP system for the County of Hawaii . "
