Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
Comm. 965 .2: APPROPRIATION FOR KOHALA TASK FORCE FOLLOW-UP
(Bill 434) INVESTIGATION
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated November 17,
1978 submitting an ordinance bill to appropriate
$20,000 for the Kohala Task Force follow-up
investigation authorized by the County Council on
November 15, 1978. Informs this money is appro-
priated from the $31,000 that was received from
the State as their share of the previous investi-
gation;
recommends Council receive and file the communication; and approve and
adopt Bill 434 on first reading .
The purpose of the bill is to appropriate State funds received to the
Office of Corporation Counsel for the Kohala Task Force civil actions
($10,000) and to the Office of Prosecuting Attorney for the Kohala
Task Force criminal actions ($10,000) , as per Ad Hoc Committee on
Kohala Task Force Amended Report No . 9 adopted on November 15, 1978.
