(Res . 359) DEPARTMENT . OF PARKS & RECREATION (ELDERLY
ACTIVITIES DIVISION)
FEDERAL FUNDED-EXEMPT POSITIONS (PART-TIME)
From Edward L. Silva, Director of Personnel
Services, dated December 2$, 1978 submitting
for adoption, a resolution to amend the Salary
Ordinance as a result of creation of new
positions duly authorized by the Department of
Parks and Recreation and the Administrative
Review Committee in accordance with Section 4-5 (c )
of the County Charter. Informs Federal funds
are available under the Senior Community Service
Employment Program to provide, foster and promote
useful part-time activities for economically
disadvantaged persons who are 55 years old or
older, and physically and mentally capable of
performing part-time employment duties;
recommends Council approve the addition of 15 new positions of Senior
Community Services Aid $3 .35 hourly for the Department of Parks and
Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, and the accompanying Resolution
359 be adopted to accomplish this purpose.
