Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Comm. 1054: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
(Res. 377) DEPARTMENT. OF PUBLIC WORKS
WIN (FEDERALLY FUNDED)
From Director of Personnel Services Edward L. Silva
dated February 5, 1979 submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the Salary Ordinance for the
Department of Public Works;
recommends Council approve the deletion of one position of Laborer II
WB-3 .and addition of one new position of Laborer I WB-2 for the
Department of Public Works, Bureau of Road Construction and Maintenance
(South Hilo) , and the addition of one new position of Assistant Clerk-
Typist SR-6 for the Department of Public Works, Bureau. of Traffic
Safety and Control. .The rationale for the positions is to. provide one
year employment to WIN.. (work incentive) participants with full-time
public service employment .
Further recommends the accompanying Resolution 377 be adopted to
accomplish this purpose.
