(Res. 3$2) FIRE DEPARTMENT
CETA TITLE VI (FEDERALLY FUNDED)
From Director of Personnel Services Edward L. Silva
dated February 21, 1979 submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the Salary Ordinance as a
result of creation of new positions which were duly
authorized by the Fire Department and the Adminis-
trative Review Committee in accordance with
Section 4-5 (c ) of the County Charter;
recommends Council approve the addition of three new positions of
Automotive Mechanic Helper WB-5 for the Fire Department . The positions
are required to recondition surplus equipmentforrural community fire
protection to enable the Fire Department to establish new volunteer
fire fighting companies at Kahua Ranch in North Kohala, Honomalino Ranch
in South Kona and Puako in South Kohala.
Further recommends the accompanying Resolution 3$2 be adopted to accomplish
this purpose.
